Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue
Puppies for Parole
With most litters of puppies comes a mother too.  Many times these moms are positive for heart worms, have intestinal worms of their own and have no "house manners" because they weren't cared for before coming into our rescue.  Our rescue changes all of that.  In a cooperative effort with Missouri Eastern Correctional Center (MECC) in Pacific, MO, our moms are given a "New Beginning".  The inmates train the moms, teaching the dogs skills to make them more adoptable.  The inmates are taught valuable skills in dog training and offer a much needed service to the community.  After a 10 week program, the dogs graduate and are placed for adoption.

Blondie

Blondie is a ray of sunshine who gets along with and loves everyone!  She is the happiest dog we've met.  She is very smart and such a dynamo for a small dog.

.
Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a shiba inu mix from our rescue.  She is a great dog with a lot of love to give.  She is shy at first but warms up nicely.  She is doing well in training.

Coco

Coco came to our program from the Sullivan Pound.  She is a border collie mix and very young.  She is very energetic but also very smart.  She will do best with an active family who will continue her training.

Daisy

Daisy is a mom from our rescue who is an amazing dog!  They think she is golden/shiba inu and basenji.  She is a great dog who gets along with others and loves kids.  She is shy at first but once she warms up to you she's a friend for life.
Happy

Happy came to our program from a hoarding situation in Bolivar, MO.  We are not sure she hears very well and we think she is an older dog.  She is looking for an understanding home who will allow her to be herself and love her just the way she is.
Jack

Jack was a baby in our rescue and had to come back after his family put him in an impossible situation.  He is already trained and doing amazingly well in prison.  He is going to make a great family dog!
Jessie

Jessie joined our training program from another rescue.  She is a favorite dog of the Mostly Mutts director.  She is doing well in training and is very smart.  She is going to make someone a great pet!
Libby

Libby was a mom in our rescue and is a wonderful dog!  She is a border collie and just a love  She wants to be by you and touching you.  She's super smart and doing well in training.
Mama Mia

Mama Mia came to us from Bolivar, MO pound.  She is the product of a horrible hoarding situation.  She is progressing in training but very slowly.  Her best home would be a quiet one, with no other animals and a loving couple to let her be the quiet dog she needs to be.
Sugar

Sugar is a sweet girl who was a mom in our rescue.  She is a yellow lab mix and couldn't be nicer.  She gets along with other dogs, she likes kids and loves to chase birds.
Bruno

Bruno was dumped in Jefferson County at a foster's house.  He is approximately 9-10 months old and is a pit bull mix.  He's an amazing boy who will be a great dog when he grows up.
All dogs listed are available for adoption once the training program ends on August 25, 2011.
